Travel Guide
Your Guide to Airline Rules, Battery Safety & Airport Travel
1. Always check with your airline before traveling.
UBNI electric rideable luggage features a removable lithium-ion battery. However, airline acceptance depends on more than battery capacity.
Some airlines classify motorized rideable suitcases as personal transportation devices and do not accept them as carry-on or checked baggage, even when the battery is removable.
Before your flight, confirm:
-
Whether your airline accepts motorized rideable luggage.
-
Whether the suitcase may travel as carry-on or checked baggage.
-
Whether the battery must be removed before boarding.
-
Whether the suitcase meets your airline's baggage size and weight limits.
For connecting flights or codeshare trips, check with every operating airline.

2. Understanding Your UBNI Battery
UBNI electric luggage is designed with a removable lithium-ion battery.
Battery specifications
| Model | Battery Capacity |
|---|---|
| UBNI CUBEU | 91.8Wh |
| UBNI CUBEU PRO | 92.16Wh |
Under general FAA rules, spare lithium-ion batteries rated at 100Wh or less are normally permitted in carry-on baggage, subject to airline requirements.
How to prepare your battery for travel
-
Confirm that your airline accepts the rideable suitcase before departure.
-
Check the battery's Wh rating and make sure the label is readable.
-
Remove the battery when required by the airline.
-
Keep removed and spare batteries in your carry-on baggage, not checked baggage.
-
Protect battery terminals from short circuits using a suitable protective case or pouch.
Never travel with a damaged, swollen, defective or recalled battery.
Battery compliance and acceptance of the complete motorized suitcase are separate requirements.
3. Check Carry-On Size Before You Fly
A 20-inch suitcase does not automatically meet every airline's carry-on requirements.
UBNI electric rideable suitcases feature a compact 20-inch design, with an external depth of approximately 10.24 inches. Some U.S. airlines have carry-on size limits of 22 × 14 × 9 inches, including handles and wheels.
Before traveling, we recommend checking your airline's baggage size requirements and policies regarding motorized rideable luggage.
Please note that some airlines may restrict or prohibit electric rideable suitcases, even with the battery removed. Always confirm acceptance with your airline before departure.

4. Can I Ride My Suitcase Inside the Airport?
Airport riding rules vary by location.
Some airports restrict or prohibit motorized suitcases and other personal transportation devices inside terminals.
Always check airport rules before using the ride-on function.
When riding is not permitted:
-
Keep the motorized riding function switched off.
-
Use UBNI as a regular rolling suitcase.
-
Follow all airport signs and instructions from airport personnel.
Where riding is expressly permitted, use a low, controlled speed on suitable surfaces and remain considerate of surrounding travelers.
Never ride through security screening areas, crowded boarding lines, escalators, stairs or moving walkways.
5. Before You Leave: Travel Checklist
Make sure you're prepared before arriving at the airport.
- Confirm airline acceptance of the complete rideable suitcase.
- Check policies for connecting and operating airlines.
- Verify the battery capacity and removal instructions.
- Check carry-on dimensions and weight restrictions.
- Review airport rules for motorized luggage.
- Inspect the battery, wheels, brakes and controls.
- Keep your airline's written confirmation accessible, if provided.
If your airline cannot confirm acceptance, do not assume the suitcase will be allowed on your flight.

Important: Airline policies vary. A removable battery rated below 100Wh does not automatically mean an electric rideable suitcase is permitted onboard. Always confirm acceptance with your airline before traveling.
